Well it is “Elementary, my dear Watson.”
So many Elementary Schools that are apparently on a Ridge. There is Polo Ridge, Hawk Ridge, Sandy Ridge, and now even Cato Ridge Elementary! Oh and don’t forget the Big Boy on the Block, Ballantyne Ridge High School.
Whether your school is on a Ridge or not, chances are you have had a visit from Quimby & Collins doctors and staff doing Dental Education in the elementary schools and Anti-Vaping presentations for the Middle Schools.
Fun Fact: Be Cool, Don’t Juul. Is a presentation developed by Shaun Collins and Luke Coppage, Dr. Collins and Dr. Quimby’s sons. The dangers of vaping in the dental and overall health of young people is an important topic for which Quimby & Collins is passionate about. Having actual High School Students speak to middle schoolers about the habit forming and extremely detrimental effects of vaping appears to have a great impact, given the middle schoolers numerous questions that come up freely during the Q&A portion of the presentation. This presentation has been handed down to other high schoolers from our practice who continue to connect with middle schoolers. The feedback we get from teachers is over whelming positive.
Dr. Quimby and Collins have supported the High School and Middle school arts, theater and band through out south Charlotte, including Charlotte Latin Schools arts and theater.
